Dirty Fellow

Dirty-Fellow

Telugu film Dirty Fellow, starring Shanti Chandra, is about an Indian Navy soldier. The teaser and trailer of this movie have received a good response from the audience. So far so good promotions have created hype around Dirty Fellow. This film released on May 24th.

JP (Nagineedu) and Shankar Narayana (Satya Prakash) are two mafia dons and friends. Shankar Narayana’s son gets killed in a tragic turn of events when cops are after JP whom Satya Prakash planned to eliminate so that he can become the undisputed mafia don. Shakar Narayana declares war on JP saying that he will kill his son Satru (Santi Chandra) at any cost since he is very upset with JP for killing his son. Shanti Chandra has plans with time against Shankar Naraya and gang, how it unfolds forms the rest of the story.

Highlights

Adari Murthy Sai has directed Dirty Fellow and sets a good tone right from the beginning itself. He starts off with character called Dirty Fellow and brings out mafia war slowly into play, once that is done Siddhu character is introduced which adds fuel to curiosity about what could happen next in this storyline where there may seem odd promos but after accepting new faces everything looks pretty good for viewer.

When villain comes to know that Siddhu is none other than himself aka Dirty fellow they hold him captive along with them having their whole gang too does make one interested whether it’s happening or not. Film has got decent glamour and makers have used it very sensibly as well.

Drawbacks

First half has got action, romance but lacks emotional drama which should have been taken care by makers little more sensitively because if few more known faces were there then surely movie would’ve looked even better while interestingly bringing out hero’s true identity during swimming pool scene etcetera are some scenes where director tried to show them differently.

There is a crucial swimming pool scene which has been done nicely. JP character brings a very interesting twist in the climax which is also quite good. But there are few scenes that have gone overboard in terms of their execution and look little unrealistic on screen. Action sequences, confrontation scenes and over the top dialogues should have been reduced little bit so that movie looks decent.

Performances

Santi Chandra who played lead role did well with his acting skills though he looked bit odd during songs but when comes to delivering dialogues or having presence before camera everything was perfect about him as per my opinion, Siddhu supported this film through his pivotal role where he performed brilliantly throughout whole story line showing various shades of emotions required from such kind characters. Deepika Singh hasn’t done anything great but she did her part okayish way while girls like Nikkesha Rangwala and Simrithi Bathija were fine playing respective roles given them.

Satya Prakash got an important character which suited him perfectly because negative roles come easy for Satya Prakash and he proved himself once again by doing justice to it through his performance in Dirty Fellow movie itself only. Editing should’ve been better especially second half of the picture where things got dragged unnecessarily at times, Music composed by Satish is good but Background score (BGM) was even better according to me personally speaking though others might not feel same way I do feel so strongly here!!

Final Word

Dirty fellow being mafia based film mostly comprising fresh faces may seem strange initially plus having certain parts too dramatic however some twists keep us hooked all along
