ALBUS DUMBLEDORE
Albus Dumbledore – The most prominent wizard in the Harry Potter adventure. One of the main character of J.K. Rowling’s series of movies. The headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for many years. He has won numerous awards for his incredible knowledge and activity for the benefit of the wizarding community. The role of Albus Dumbledore played on screen by Richard Harris and Michael Gambon.
Actually Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore. He was the oldest of Kendra and Percival Dumbledore’s three children. When he was ten years old his very young sister, Ariana, was attacked by three muggles who saw her unknowingly conjuring. This caused her a very strong trauma the girl stopped using magic, which caused her to find her outlet in random and uncontrollable outbursts. She was a danger to herself and others, and required constant care. Percival seeing his daughter’s condition and he did not wait for the final judgment and decided to do justice with his own hands. The judges did not know his motives, so he was sent to Azkaban, where he died shortly afterwards. The case was publicized by the press and the Dumbledore family was accused of hatred towards muggles.
At Hogwarts, Albus was placed in Gryffindor, where he befriended Elphias Doge. During his education, he came into contact with the greatest thinkers of the wizarding world, his dissertations appeared in numerous scientific journals, he won so many awards. He became Prefect of Gryffinfdor, and later the Chief Prefect. Soon after, Gellert Grindelwald came to live in the area. they very quickly they become good friends. They were two outstanding minds who wanted to change the world in a youthful and idealistic way at one point it even came to the point that they considered taking control of the muggles for the greater good. However, Albus brother, Aberforth, showed up at the family home and dropped out of school to take care of Ariana. During an argument between the brothers, which also involved Grindelwald, the girl had another attack. The exact circumstances of her death are unknown everyone used a spell, and one of them caused her death. After this situation, Dumbledore and Grindelwald‘s paths become saprated.
Albus took a job as a teacher at Hogwarts, although a career as Minister of Magic was augured for him. However, he knew his weakness, which was the attraction to power, and preferred to realize himself through teaching. During this time, Grindelwald began to put his project into action and terrorize Europe (which coincided with World War II). Dumbldore delayed for five years before intervening, which ended in a legendary duel between two of the most powerful wizards.
When he took over as Headmaster, Tom Riddle (later known as Lord Voldemort), who had been his student, came to see him. Dumbledore was aware that Riddle was an extremely capable and ambitious man, but he also knew of his illegal experiments with black magic. He refused him, and when the First Wizarding War broke out he formed Order of the Phoenix to fight the Death Eaters.
Dumbledore witnessed Sybill Trelawney deliver a prophecy concerning Harry Potter’s fate. From that point on, his fate was also closely tied to Severus Snape. From then on he constantly watched over the boy and knew that the night the Potters died was not the final end of the Dark Lord. He worked for a long time on the subject of horcruxes and introduced them to Harry.
He died on the Hogwarts tower in the sixth part of the saga. He was supposed to be killed by Draco Malfoy, on Voldemort‘s orders, but in the end Snape did it. The men had planned everything in advance, for Dumbledore knew that he did not have much time left after the curse he had brought upon himself with one of the horcruxes. He was the only man Voldemort feared, and after his death the Death Eaters took control of the wizarding world.
Dumbledore has an incredible authority in the world of magic. He earned his reputation for outstanding achievements, yet he always put teaching and the welfare of his students first. When the situation demanded it, he was not afraid to take decisive steps, despite the fact that in everyday life he was a very calm, cultured and kind man. He was famous for his minor extravagances (such as his office slogans, which were the names of muggle sweets). He liked to joke around and never referred to himself as the most powerful wizard, even though he knew he was.
