Every year, movies are released on Eid to celebrate this festival. Many films have lined up for the release on this Eid. This time ‘Meghna Kanya’ has joined the race of liberation war. It is a film produced by Fuad Chowdhury based on women trafficking. Various roles have been portrayed by Kazi Nowshaba Ahmed, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Mohammad Bari, Piyush Banerjee and many more.
The teaser of the movie was released online on Women’s Day (March 8). From different classes and places, two women’s story has appeared again and again within the teaser of one minute seven seconds. Along with dark world people of forbidden village; it hints urban woman’s helplessness in ‘Meghna Kanya’s’ trailer.
But according to director Fuad Chowdhury; he tried to insert enough entertainment so that people can enjoy it as commercial cinema even if it tells a rural situated tough subject like women trafficking. In the context of festive environment like Eid; all elements for popularizing among audiences are added in this movie called ‘Meghna Kanya’. Soon song and trailer will be released.
Swiss co-production company SJ Motion Pictures have partnered with Anwar Azad Film’s to make this Television Partner Deepta TV is also involved in making this Bangladeshi film which stars Kazi Nowshaba Ahmed, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Shatabdi Wadud, Semanti Soumi, Sajjad Hossain etc. among others plays important characters. The music is done by the famous Sumi while Fahmidur Rahman has written screenplay and dialogues of the film along with Ahmed Khan Hirak.
