Legally Blonde is about a blonde California girl who is devastated after her boyfriend dumps her. Being the president of her sorority and having a bachelor’s degree in fashion wasn’t impressive enough for his East-Coast family, so she miraculously gets into Harvard Law School to try and win him back. There, Elle is surprised to see that her Ex has gotten back together with an old girlfriend, and they are engaged.
Cute but not to be taken seriously! If you try, by the end of the movie you might believe Aunt Martha the hair stylist might be capable of handling your divorce. No! THE WHOLE MOVIE IS A JOKE! Quite a funny joke!
Funny but at some points it was a bit to “pink” for me (if you know what I mean). This role was basically perfect for Reese Witherspoon. I can’t imagine anyone else in the part or anyone more perfect for it.
In conclusion,
if you want an enjoyable, however irreverent, movie take a peek at this one. There aren’t many movies that a whole family will enjoy, this is one of them. If you can look past some of the, silliness, than be prepared to laugh!
