Black Hawk Down is a movie that takes place in 1993 when American special forces were on a mission to deliver humanitarian aid to Somalia. One day they’re on a mission a quick 30 minute thing, in and out, when to Black Hawk helicopters are shot down. The soldiers must rescue any survivors from the wreck well enduring heavy fire from people they were supposed to be helping.
I wouldn’t say I didn’t like this movie, but I didn’t love it either. There were to many things going on at once! The way they filmed this, you ever knew who was being shot, and who was dead. They were following about 30 people and since they were dressed exactly the same you really had no idea what was going on.
I’m sorry ladies, but Josh Hartnett was terrible in this movie! Nothing against the guy, but this kind of movie REALLY isn’t his strong point! He should probably stick to those silly little romantic comedies where anyone with two legs can be cast.
I’ve only mentioned the negatives, because those were all that stuck out at me. I’m sorry to say I don’t agree with all the critical acclaim this Black Hawk Down is getting.
