Being John Malkovich is a movie about a loser puppeteer (Craig) who gets a job working on the 7.5th story of a building filing papers. Its there that he discovers a portal into John Malkovich’s head After which you are dumped onto the side of the New Jersey Turnpike. He and his partner Maxine create J.M. inc and begin charging $200 for a 15 minute trip into John Malkovich’s head!
This is a VERY stupid movie. The whole idea it is based on is stupid, and every twist and turn of this movie made it worse! At the beginning I did laugh, the 7.5 floor But then it just got dumb. I guess I like movies that are either realistic, or not realistic at all! They had to chose one here, even the idea of choosing an actor that already existed made it too realistic to be unrealistic. You get what I’m saying?
This movie got nominated for an Academy Award. So someone liked it, the academy, but I don’t think. Some might call this movie artsy but I’m just gonna call it horrible!
