The premise of this movie is very clever. In Montropolis the city is run by little children’s screams, not electricity (we ought to try that). Monsters enter children’s rooms, scare then and collect their screams in a long orange jar. Monsters are taught not to let a child touch them, they say that a child’s touch is toxic. But when Mike and Sulley accidentally bring a child into the monster’s world, they learn otherwise.
This is a great movie for almost anyone. With an enjoyable combination of comedy, deceit, fear, anger, a great plot, a great cast and the best animation you could imagine (really) you’ll have a great time at the theatre!
In conclusion this is a great family movie. Unfortunately I saw it a day after seeing Shrek, and I couldn’t look past some of their similarities. But this is still an awesome movie that’s worth seeing!
