Warning 2 continues directly from where it left off in its predecessor Warning (2021) as Geja (Gippy Grewal) enters jail and embarks on a vendetta against Pamma (Prince Kanwaljit Singh).
Warning 2 is a gripping follow-up to its previous movie that retains its action packed sequences and noteworthy performances. It goes deeper into the backstories of the characters, especially of Geja who was on the path of revenge for his family’s murder leaving him with no other option but to join crime.
Geja ends up in prison just like Pamma after the story picks up right where it had left off. There, he learns about Geja’s past that includes how he sought vengeance for his family’s murder culminating into joining criminal activities. The issue of if they along with external predators will take their grudges out on Geja is central to the narrative.
The film portrays a labyrinthine tale of revenge involving various local goons inside and outside prison which complicate the storyline. Suspended police officer Ranjit Singh (Rahul Dev) adds another dimension to the plot with his shady actions and complicated past with Geja.
Amar Hundal does justice directing this film, which lasts 127 minutes long. Slow-motion shots, as well as stylized fight scenes are also added to make revenge more appealing. Nevertheless, too many characters clutter narration making it turn into a vicious circle of retribution.
Gippy Grewal is multi-talented beyond acting since besides being an actor; he is also the producer and writer of Warning 2. This actor adds mystery to his character using intense eyes expression without talking much. Prince Kanwaljit Singh has once again won the hearts of audiences by playing Pamma. He is audience’s favourite who outshines everyone with not only his exceptional performance but also witty dialogue delivery .The part where Pamma meets Geja can be considered as the film’s zenith.
Rahul Dev as the mysterious suspended police officer Ranjit Singh, Jaggi Singh starring Rana, Dheeraj Kumar playing Keepa, Raghveer Boli playing Seeti, Raj Singh Jhinjar acting Gella and Jasmine Bhasin in the role of Raunak make supporting cast that keep this story moving forward.
The cinematography by Baljit Singh Deo raises the visual appeal of the movie while capturing the gritty atmosphere associated with a prison setting. Furthermore, Kevin Roy’s background score matches well with action sequences thereby making them more effective as well as engaging viewers into tense point of view shots within storylines.
All in all,’Warning 2’, is a brimful continuation of a storyline; full of thunderous action scenes. With an enticing potential for another episode, it leaves us wanting more from Geja and Pamma.
