Movie Review
Eight women – four mothers and four daughters, eight tragedies and eight stories of healing. “Joy and Luck Club” is an adaptation of the novel by Tan Amy, which introduces the viewer to Chinese immigrant families where the generation of mothers still live the traditions of China, but the daughters, already born in America, do not understand their mothers on the one hand, and on the other, clearly see their otherness.
