“Gilmore Girls” is not a movie, but a television series. A series that is one of the best of its genre, a series that is just terrific at revealing the relationship between daughters and mothers. Is this what you would do if you found out at 16 that you were expecting a baby? Lorelei Gilmore, for example, who failed to live up to the expectations of her wealthy parents, left home, had a baby girl she named after herself, raised her to be one of the smartest girls in school and the future of American journalism, and got a business degree herself and opened her own hotel. The series aired until 2007, but recently it was announced that in November there will be a 4-part sequel, where viewers will learn how the history of one of the most popular female characters on the television screen.
