Matt Murdock has had a lifelong relationship with Hells Kitchen in New York City. When he was a child he saved a blind man from being hit by a truck, a radioactive substance got into his eyes. As a result, he lost his eyesight, but his other senses sharpened. After graduating, he becomes a lawyer and, together with his friend Franklin Nelson, establishes a law firm. Under the cover of night, he fights crime in a Daredevil costume.
His weapon is a specially modified cane. He often joins forces with Spider Man, and often comes into conflict with The Punisher. An important person in his life is Karen Page, a co-worker and beloved. He also has a strong relationship with the killer Elektra.
Daredevil was played by Ben Affleck in Daredevil (2003) and by Charlie Cox in the Netflix series Daredevil.
