Movie Review
The plot of this film is based on the true story of two clowns, Foutit and Chocolat. At the end of the 19th century in France, Mim Foutit, who is going through a difficult time in his career, dreams of inventing a concept that would help him make a triumphant return to the stage. Life itself gives him the idea, when he wanders into a circus and finds a dark-skinned Raphael, entertaining the crowd for a pittance as a cannibal savage. And Foutit comes up with a number that brings him back to his former glory, as even the high society of Paris is willing to watch as a white exploiter beats up a black servant in public on stage.
