The main character of the film, journalist John Grogan, was not happy from the beginning of movie. He thought that in order TO BE HAPPY he had to make a list and do each and every task. At first he married the woman he loved, but it was not enough to be the happiest in the world. John wanted to get a promotion at work. And while he worked hard on the articles, he and his wife decided to get a dog to make them happy. But their dog Marley was the most unmanaged pet on the planet.

Then Grogan had children and a big house, and happiness glimpsed somewhere in the distance. our hero found everything he had dreamed of, he realized that on his way to his desires he was always satisfied with his life. After all, there are so many pleasant memories of the weekend spent with his wife, funny moments with his dog. they were real happiness.
